Engine Completion
To top off my engine, I opted to go with an Edelbrock Performer RPM intake manifold, Proform Chromoly pushrods, Proform roller rockers, a Holley 770 cfm Street Avenger Carburetor, and Billet Specialties tall style aluminum valve covers.
Chevrolet 355 build
I bought a 350 four bolt main block from a local parts store owner, and had it bored .030 over. I used the crankshaft, and rods out of the 305 that came in the car and had the crank turned .010. I installed Speed Pro flat top 2 valve relief pistons, and a 280h Comp cam and lifter set. I then bolted on Patriot Performance Vortec style heads with 185cc intake runners, 2.02/1.68 valves, and 64cc combustion chambers.
A Junkyard Find
The car had been sitting for 20 years when I bought it.
All the original body parts will be used for its restoration with the exception of a passenger's side front fender. The car was not running when I bought it, and had a cracked block. The motor was a 305, so I know it was not the original because all Z28s manufactured in this year came with a 350. I will be building a 350 4 bolt main to drop in the car with a TH350 transmission.
